There are many systems on the market and the functionality is not always comparable.
Some of the things that characterize InfoChain are:
Completely web based
All parts of the system are web based. No local installations. Possibility to rent usage through the webservice or install at local server
for i.e. integration to other systems. Mobile phones /PDA:s has a special interface customized for small screens and the Opera browser.
Ease of use
Good overview and intuitive interface. A minimum of "pop-up" windows. Hopefully an attractive design.
Advanced options are hidden until they are needed. The system is used like you read a paper from left to right and top to bottom.
The number of clicks and mouse movements are minimized. The system can be "cut down" to a minimum in order to show only the parts you want to see.
Customizable
You decide how to define companies, projects etc. These "mark-ups" are later used for advanced searches and reports.
Access to different parts of the system are yours to define. A custom "left menu" can be created and personal options for formats and other things can be set.
Fields can also be added, changed and removed, though this demands a discussion with us, as every field has about 130 different settings.
Powerful
Few standardised systems has so powerful and dynamic reporting and analysing capabilities.
Within the system there is a simple form of (OLAP) analyse engine with up to three dimensions.
Large amounts of data (registers) can be handled through many smart features. The system can and has been integrated to other systems.
